Police should be issuing tickets, not warnings. Every motorcyclist knows that excessive noise is illegal. Every motorcyclist knows that modifying or removing their exhaust is illegal. It violates the federal Noise Control Act of 1972 and every state’s motor vehicle code. It is time for law enforcement to take this lawbreaking seriously.
